Richardson is a lovely Texas town with a great deal to offer.  Not far from Dallas, the city of Richardson is a bustling and interesting community.  It’s a mix between small town Texas living and the big city lights.  It is a hub for arts and culture, dining and shopping, fun and family.  The weather in Texas is always warm and sunny and so rarely cold that your options for activities are almost always wide open.

The Eisemann Center opened in Richardson in September 2002 and, since, has been recognized by clients, patrons and the media consistently.  It considered one of the leading performing arts facilities in the area, including Dallas and Fort Worth. The facility, itself, is a work of art, because of its architectural design.  If it’s unusually cool, or the weather is not pleasant for some reason, then there isn’t much better way that you could spend a day indoors than taking in a theatre production at this amazing facility.

The “Wildflower!” Arts and Music Festival is another example of Richardson’s cultural and social events.  The Wildflower Festival is an award-winning multi-day arts and music festival. There are 6 performance stages, delicious food, and activities appropriate for all ages. Held in May each year, the festival’s weather could not be more perfect for an outdoor festival and the residents and visitors in the area consider this event an absolute must-do each year.

If you are an outdoorsy type and are interested what the town has to offer in the way of green spaces and nature then you will be pleased to know that Richardson’s Parks and Recreation Department runs a variety of facilities that are used often by the community.  Examples include the athletic fields, pavilions, picnic areas and multi-use trails. There is always something to get outside and do on a beautiful Texas day.  Both visitors and residents can tell you that there aren’t many towns quite like Richardson.  It has a certain balance of suburb and city that is just ideal for pretty much anyone, particularly families.
